COST AND BENEFIT ANALYSIS OF E-COMMERCE INVESTMENT IN SMALL MEDIUM ENTERPRISE

Abstract
Pemanfaatan TIK melalui strategi e-commerce dapat meningkatkan daya saing UKM (Usaha Kecil Menengah). Namun diperlukan gambaran biaya dan manfaat bagaimana penerapan investasi e-commerce pada UKM. Penelitian melakukan analisis/evaluasi biaya dan manfaat terhadap aktivitas e-commerce yang dilakukan oleh UKM, terhadap 10 UKM di Provinsi Jawa Barat secara purposif. Kerangka kerja (framework) yang digunakan berdasarkan kerangka kerja Nicol & Coen (2003). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, biaya-biaya (costs) yang dibutuhkan oleh UKM dalam menjalankan e-commerce pada penelitian ini berkisar antara 5 - 80 juta, dengan biaya rata-rata e-commerce sebesar 30 juta, dan rata-rata biaya modal (capital cost) sebesar 14 juta dan biaya operasional dan biaya tidak langsung (operational and indirect cost) sebesar 19 juta. Menurut UKM, e-commerce dapat memberi/meningkatkan manfaat (benefits) dari sisi: iklan dan promosi, pemasaran, komunikasi dan informasi, transaksi, supply chain, transportasi dan pengiriman, dan dalam hal pengembangan produk dan layanan.
