AKTIFITAS KOMUNIKASI MASYARAKAT MELALUI SITUS JEJARING SOSIAL

Abstract
With the phenomenal background, activity of a members in public communication through the use of internet in social networking sites. This study focuses in the problem of how communication community activity through social networking sites. With survey refers to activity concept by Levy Katz, and uses concept by Gurevitch and Hass, the research results shows that: variety of custom activities communication in community member when online, through social networking sites, covering 16 different activities. The quantity of activity cover most of the seven types of activities, includes: "dating with friends"; "to see other people's profiles"; "commenting on statements of others in the site"; "convey a steam"; "find old friends"; "invite / accept other people to be friends "and" upload own photos ". The direction of communication activities via social networking site accounts, have variation, includes four types of guidance. The most direct target by respondent is 'every person' who can access throught social networking sites. Respondent prepare a lot of alternatives as a modus of communication activities thorugh social networking sites, but without making one modus that dominate the activity.
Dengan latar belakang fenomenalnya aktifitas komunikasi anggota masyarakat melalui penggunaan situs jejaring sosial dalam medium internet, penelitian ini terfokus pada permasalahan bagaimana Aktifitas Komunikasi masyarakat melalui situs jejaring sosial. Dengan survey yang mengacu pada konsep aktiftitas Levy dan konsep penggunaan Katz, Gurevitch dan Hass, penelitian menunjukkan bahwa : ragam kebiasaan beraktifitas komunikasi anggota masyarakat saat online melalui situs jejaring sosial, meliputi 16 jenis aktifitas. Kuantitas aktifitas paling banyak yaitu mencakup tujuh jenis aktifitas meliputi : "dating dengan teman"; "melihat-lihat profil orang lain"; "mengomentari pernyataan orang lain dalam situs"; "menyampaikan uneg-uneg"; "mencari teman lama"; "mengundang/menerima orang lain jadi teman"; dan "upload foto diri sendiri". Arah aktifitas komunikasi melalui akun situs jejaring sosial itu memiliki variasi yang meliputi empat jenis pengarahan. Sasaran yang paling banyak diarahkan responden adalah ’setiap orang’ yang dapat mengakses situs jejaring sosial. Responden menyiapkan banyak alternatif sebagai modus untuk beraktifitas komunikasi melalui situs jejaring sosial namun tanpa menjadikan salah satu moduspun yang mendominasi mereka untuk beraktifitas.
