PERAN NORMALITAS DATA DALAM PENELITIAN KOMUNIKASI PENDEKATAN KUANTITATIF

Abstract
Membicarakan persoalan normalitas data dalam kaitan permasalahan penelitian (baca : penelitian komunikasi), secara filosofis ilmu hal ini sebenarnya termasuk menjadi bagian dari telaahan elemen epistemologis. Elemen epistemologis sendiri, secara esensial berarti sebagai suatu elemen yang secara khusus menelaah cara suatu ilmu dalam berupaya menemukan kebenaran ilmiahnya. Selain masalah distribusi atau normalitas data terkait dengan penelitian komunikasi pendekatan kuantitatif ini, maka persoalan-persoalan lain yang juga termasuk dalam telaah epistemologis ini, diantaranya yaitu menyangkut prosedur sampling, pre test, paradigma teori, paradigma penelitian dan metode penelitian.
