Dukungan Sosial Warganet di Twitter terhadap Gaya Komunikasi Pasangan Calon Presiden pada Debat Pemilu 2019

Abstract
Salah satu indikator keberhasilan pesta demokrasi adalah partisipasi masyarakat dalam mendukung pasangan calon (paslon) presiden yang akan bertarung, juga dalam setiap tahapan Pemilu termasuk debat yang diadakan oleh Komisi Pemilihan Umum. Debat putaran pertama yang disiarkan langsung melalui televisi sifatnya hanya satu arah sehingga tanggapan/opini masyarakat tidak tersalurkan. Mereka pun berpindah ke media sosial untuk mengkritisi gaya komunikasi paslon. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan gambaran tentang dukungan sosial warganet di Twitter terhadap gaya komunikasi paslon presiden pada debat Pemilu 2019 putaran pertama. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis isi dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan Twitter memiliki agenda setting yang dibentuk oleh warganet berdasarkan hasil debat. Hal ini berdampak kuat dalam menetapkan agenda publik, terutama bagi agen politik. Kedua pendukung paslon juga sadar penggunaan slogan dan tagar dalam setiap postingan di linimasa memudahkan untuk penyampaian visi misi paslon menjadi trending topic yang dapat mendulang suara terhadap paslon tertentu. Ada warganet yang berusaha menggambarkan gaya komunikasi kedua paslon dengan netral, namun lebih banyak yang menggambarkan paslon yang tidak mereka dukung dengan kalimat-kalimat yang provokatif, dan juga humoris (menertawakan). Secara umum dukungan sosial warganet melalui linimasa Twitter untuk masing-masing paslon relatif berimbang. Bahkan kedua kubu terkesan sangat militan dengan pilihan masing-masing dan terlibat secara emosional.
