PRAKTIK PENGGUNAAN KONSEP TEORITIK DALAM PERUMUSAN MASALAH PENELITIAN KOMUNIKASI

Abstract
Dalam dunia akademik/riset konsep teoritik memiliki fungsi yang vital. Kevitalan dimaksud baik dalam pendekatan kuantitatif maupun kualitatif. Terdapat persamaan dan perbedaan terkait kevitalan fungsi konsep teoritik tersebut pada kedua pendekatan penelitian tadi.
Persamaannya yaitu terjadi pada fase awal penelitian, tepatnya yaitu pada upaya membuat perumusan masalah, di mana konsep teoritik berfungsi sebagai petunjuk bagi peneliti untuk melihat fenomena yang hendak dikonseptualisir. Sementara perbedaannya yaitu pada fase-fase berikutnya. Fase-fase berikut dimaksud, misalnya seperti fase kedua, atau lazim juga dikenal dengan bab Kerangka teori atau Landasan Konseptual.
