Produk Jurnalisme Data di Media Digital pada Masa Pandemi

Abstrak

Lokalisasi jurnalisme data di Indonesia telah menghasilkan berita-berita berbasis data. Lokalisasi dan konteks COVID-19 dapat mendorong terbentuknya berita berbasis data yang berbeda dari sifat produk jurnalisme data yang investigatif dan kompleks. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menilai elemen-elemen berita produk jurnalisme data pada 317 berita COVID-19 berbasis data di media daring di Indonesia, yakni Katadata.co.id, Kompas.id, dan Tirto.id. Kerangka analisis yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini didasarkan pada konsep konsep elemen-elemen berita produk jurnalisme data (Zamith 2019; Ojo dan Heravi 2018; Loosen, Reimer, dan De Silva-Schmidt 2020). Hasil analisis isi kuantitatif menunjukkan bahwa berita COVID-19 berbasis data di ketiga media daring di Indonesia dicirikan dengan sumber berita yang cenderung bergantung pada sumber terbuka pra-analisis, visualisasi data dan fitur interaktif yang tidak begitu kompleks, dan lemahnya penerapan transparansi sumber dan proses. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa jurnalisme data yang berkembang di Indonesia di tengan Pandemi COVID-19 adalah model jurnalisme data harian, yang dibentuk berdasarkan ketersediaan data dan perangkat lunak yang mudah diakses dan gratis.
