Dr. Muhammad Imam Nashiruddin

Dr. Muhammad Imam Nashiruddin, SMIEE (Senior Member, IEEE) is highly motivated and professionals with full of expertise and experience in various aspects, especially the TMT industry (Telecommunications, Media and Information Technology) with more than 21 years of experience in managerial positions in multinational companies & leading institutions, including more than 3 (three) years as the Commissioners at the Indonesia Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (BRTI). He had previous career as strategic leader in PT. INDOSAT Tbk – Leading Indonesia Full Network & Service Provider - for 17 years with his last position as Group Head of Corporate Strategy & Insight and Head of Digital Media Business.
Currently, he is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Program for Regulation & Management of Telecommunication, School of Electrical Engineering, Telkom University. He engages with Telkom University IoT Research Center as Chief of Strategic Development & Partnership. He also establishes Transforma Strategic Consulting to assist the company and their leaders on managing technology and digital business transformation to winning the competition in the new digital landscapes.
Dr. Imam earned his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (telecommunication) from University of Brawijaya in 1997, master’s degree in electrical engineering (Information Technology & Multimedia System) from Bandung Institute of Technology in 2003 and Ph.D. in business management from Padjajaran University in 2014. His research interest including technology & engineering management, telecommunication management, telecommunication policy & regulatory, strategic management of technological innovation, ICT business management and digital transformation. He is a reviewer for the most prestigious scientific journal of the Ministry of Communication & Information Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, namely “Buletin Pos & Telekomunikasi” (SINTA2 Accredited) as well as “Jurnal Pekommas” (SINTA2 Accredited).
Dr. Imam has great experience as member of the national delegation of the Republic Indonesia at the several prestigious international telecommunication forum, including World Radiocommunication Conference (WRC), World Telecommunication Development Conference (WTDC), Asia Pacific Telecommunity (APT), and ASEAN Telecom Regulatory Council (ATRC). He also led several activities of new technology implementation in Indonesia, both technical, business management and regulatory aspect.
