Abstract
The research is entitled "Urgency of Government CIO to Actualize Information Management Based on Connected Government in Yogyakarta Special Region. The aim of the research is to know the importance of GCIO on the managing information process. The study used a qualitative approach. While data collection techniques used were depth interviews, observation, and FGD. The results indicate that the lack of leadership who serves as the top management and integrate the process of information management in DIY is not effective yet. The result contribution is an effective information management model with base GCIO as a key factor in the Government of Yogyakarta Special Province.
Penelitian ini berjudul “Urgensi Government Chief Information Officer (GCIO) dalam mewujudkan Manajemen Informasi berbasis Connected Government di DIY”. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji permasalahan proses manajemen informasi berbasis connected government di Pemda DIY untuk mengetahui pentingnya keberadaan GCIO. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Sementara teknik pengumpulan data yang dipakai adalah wawancara, observasi, dan FGD. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa manajemen informasi Pemda DIY belum berjalan secara efektif. Salah satu sebabnya adalah belum adanya kepemimpinan yang berfungsi sebagai top manajemen dan wadah yang memayungi serta memadukan aktivitas manajemen informasi di Pemda DIY secara efektif. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah dibutuhkan sebuah model manajemen informasi yang efektif dengan basis GCIO sebagai faktor kunci di Pemda DIY.
